The law firm of Henry Henry & Bristol, founded in 1959, is one of Grenada’s leading law firms. With a commitment to providing outstanding representation, Henry Henry & Bristol serves clients in Grenada and throughout the Caribbean region, advising on a variety of areas, including investment, business startups, corporate law, tax, insurance, and real estate. Having represented World Class Regional and International Bank and their regulators, banking remains at the core of our firm’s practice and expertise. Additionally, the firm has a large intellectual property trademark practice through our associated company HHB Intellectual Property Services Limited.

Over the years, the firm has evolved in our practice, modernizing our structure while remaining true to the legacy of our founders. Our team continues to be an integral part of the community, devoting time to pro bono work and engaging in public debates on topics of national and regional importance.

In December 2023, we announced a significant transition in our leadership. After years of dedicated service, Mr. James Bristol, K.C., passed the torch to the next generation of legal professionals. On January 1st, 2024, Mr. Dylan J. Charles and Ms. Melissa Modeste-Singh became the firm’s new co-managing partners. Mr. Bristol continues with the firm as Senior Legal Consultant.

In April 1959, Carol W.J. Bristol, Q.C., joined father and son Ferdinand Mr. Henry and Sir Denis Henry, Q.C., to establish the firm Henry Henry & Bristol.

Mr. Ferdinand M. Henry, founding partner, was called to the Bar in England just after World War 1.

Sir Denis Henry, Q.C, the firm’s second partner, was called to the Bar in 1939.

Carol W. J. Bristol KC

Carol Bristol, KC was called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn in England in 1954. During the period 1955 – 1957, Mr. Bristol held several positions including Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of the Windward and Leeward Islands, which was headquartered in Grenada. Bristol became the firm’s senior partner following Sir Denis Henry’s retirement in 1981.
